Undefeated in series and 21-4 in maps, Taeja rode the wave of top performance at DreamHack Bucharest straight into the tournament championship. Although he managed to lose a handful of games in the group stages, the Liquid Terran became an absolute beast come playoffs and by the time of the grand final, all three of YuGiOh, sOs and Life lay defeated by his hand.

Acer.Innovation was Taeja's last opponent for the night and although the ex-STX ace was enjoying the upper hand in WCS points as well as hype, he couldn't muster a more adequate resistance then Taeja's previous opponents. Choosing to go mech against Taeja's bio was a swift way to lose game one, which ended in a battlecruiser flair provided by the man in the blue shirt. A sharp bio/tank push followed on Planet S and Taeja's advantage got double, putting Innovation one game away from the silver medal.

For game three, Taeja switched his playstyle around and opened banshees against Innovation's bio. Although only a single banshee made it out of the starport, the damage it dealt was monstrous, putting Innovation six workers behind and making him burn scans for nothing. The lead for Taeja continued to grow exponentially and once his mech tech was fully developed, he was able to easily stroll in for the perfect kill.
