StarTale's Bomber and EG's Tyrant Jaedong will fight off for the $40,000 and the 3,000 WCS points of the Season 2 finals. The best of seven is already ongoing.
Jaedong qualified for the grand final after a decisive series against First which made for his perfect ZvP streak this tournament. While the Tyrant was near flawless in his executions, however, it was also visible that First was not in his right mind today, allowing a series of fatals mistakes including a blink into Jaedong's banelings - a move that decided the final 3-0.
In the bottom half of the bracket, Jaedong's would-be opponent Bomber was having a much harder time against Taeja. The StarTale Terran opened with two victories for himself by utilizing a cloack banshee opening in game one and punishing a couple of Taeja's mistakes in game two but his advantage was quickly nullified. Taeja's flanks and sky terran play in game three negated Bomber's signature SCV pull and a decisive showing on Akilon Wastes in game four put the series back to equal footing.
It would take a fifth game played on Star Station before Bomber could move forward to play Jaedong in the grand final, a best of 7 series that will become a mileston in either player's career.
