White-Ra performed exceptionally in last season's PGL, reaching a third place after losing to Fengzi in his last match. On his road to the bronze medal, White-Ra was able to overcome players as NsP_Fancy, Pj, ChinaTTT, JayStar and JiFeng. While the other two foreigners IdrA and Dreiven performed without success, the elder from Ukraine proved his strength. It is no surprise the popular Protoss is invited to yet another PGL season.
Joining him this year, is just like last season an American e-STRO player. This time, NonY will represent the Korean progaming team instead of his compatriot IdrA. Although IdrA is not on the list yet, he may be included as one of the "Korean" invitees.
The third and last player to battle for the non-Asian honor is Strelok. After a very successful 2008 where he ended up taking the bronze in World Cyber Games, winning ASUS Spring and a runner-up spot in DreamHack Summer, Strelok is raised to the skies as one of the most successful players in anno 2008.
The Korean invites have not yet been announced. The Chinese players will play a qualifier starting today to determine the advancing players to the finals taking place on January 1st.
