Our continuous encouragement to vote in the CPL Poll has showed results - Starcraft has now been announced an official game for the CPL Winter 2004!As a response to the poll abuse accusations from the Starcraft community, the CPL Staff posted a » thread regarding the issue. This is what Thomas Hollingworth stated in his post:
"Right now we're in the middle of hosting our Winter Championship. If any foul play was involved with the vote, it will be dealt with appropriately. Please keep in mind that this vote was a way for us assess interest and it does not necessairly dictate our decision. We thank you for your enthusiasm."
Later in the same thread, there's a question asking whether Starcraft or Battlefield1942 won the poll, and the answer delighted me: Both won the poll! Battlefield will be played during the Summer event 2004, and Starcraft at the Winter Event 2004.
I will update you as soon as I get any information regarding the qualifications for the event.
