Warning: Scam Email!

We wanted to warn our users about a scam email that has hit some of our crew that invites them to a friends and family alpha for the upcoming MMO from Blizzard.

The email appears to come from a Blizzard Account but the email itself is a spoof. Users who receive such an email should not click on the link in the email. The email text says the link is to a blizzard.com site but it goes to another site that is not Blizzard's that appears as the Battle.net site (see the image below). Do not enter your account information on the site, the site is merely an attempt to get your account information!

As always be wary of any emails like this, and ask questions first! Ask on the official Blizzard forums (or on our forums) to see if anyone is getting similar emails and if they are legitimate.

Here are some signs of an email being a scam:

- Gramatical or spelling errors in the email
- Links to NON Blizzard.com or Battle.net owned sites

We have screenshots of both the spoof site (the address is not visible) and the scam email so that you can see if it is similar to any emails you may have received.
