Meanwhile, CFO bow out of the competition in 12th to 14th place.
It's do or die for some of the remaining teams at the League of Legends World Championship 2026 as the Swiss Stage continued with its fourth round.
With elimination on the line, LEC third seed
Karmine Corp (KC) faced off against the LCP's last hope,
CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO), in a best-of-three series that would determine which team would live to fight another day. In the end, KC soundly swept CFO to keep their own tournament hopes alive and end the LCP's run at Worlds 2026.
Both teams entered the fourth round with identical 1-2 records, having started their Swiss Stage campaigns with victories before suffering two consecutive defeats.
KC had fought their way through the Play-In Stage to secure the final Swiss Stage spot, before stunning LPL first seed
Anyone's Legend in their opening match. However, their momentum was short-lived, as they fell to
LYON in Round 2 and
Bilibili Gaming in Round 3.
CFO had a similar start, defeating
Team Liquid Alienware in their opening match. However, the LCP's second seed struggled to maintain their momentum, suffering back-to-back losses against
Movistar KOI and reigning world champions
T1. With
Team Secret Whales already eliminated, CFO were also carrying the LCP's remaining hopes at Worlds 2026.
Karmine Corp dominate CTBC Flying Oyster in Game 1
KC wasted little time asserting themselves in the opening game, drawing first blood to establish an early gold advantage. CFO managed to respond with a pick in the jungle to even out the kill score, but the LEC representatives maintained their lead as their lanes continued to pull ahead.
The gap began to widen when CFO attempted to contest the first Dragon. With several of their members scattered across the map, the LCP squad were caught out of position, allowing KC to punish their lack of coordination and further extend their advantage.
KC continued to find flanking opportunities and trap CFO in unfavourable teamfights, picking up multiple kills as they tightened their grip on the game. The LCP representatives struggled to find a way back into the match, falling further behind as KC maintained their pressure across the map.
After just 27 minutes of one-sided action, KC destroyed CFO's Nexus with a commanding 18–3 kill lead, taking the opening game of the series.
Karmine Corp mount a comeback to take Game 2 against CTBC Flying Oyster
CFO had a much stronger start in the second game, with Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-chuan drawing first blood in the bottom lane before he and his support began bullying KC's bot lane duo out of lane. The LCP representatives also showed better coordination in their rotations across the map, catching their European opponents off guard and securing more kills and objectives to establish an early advantage.
As CFO's bot lane duo continued to scale, KC looked for opportunities to fight back and claw their way into the game. Kim “Canna" Chang-dong gave his team some much-needed breathing room after finding a pick on Doggo in the top-side jungle, before catching out multiple CFO members in the top lane to slow their momentum.
CFO continued to push their advantage and eventually secured the first Baron of the game. However, KC refused to back down, finding another favourable teamfight that saw them take down several members of CFO and prevent their opponents from running away with the game. CFO eventually found another opening when KC attempted to flank Doggo during a fight in the mid lane. The failed engagement allowed CFO to capitalise on their opponents' mistake, securing Dragon Soul and breaking open KC's bottom lane base.
KC managed to bounce back once again, with Kang “Kyeahoo” Ye-hoo dealing massive damage in a crucial teamfight that turned the momentum in their favour. The victory gave KC the opportunity to secure Baron and bring the game back to an even footing, with both teams now having a chance to close out the encounter.
With the Elder Dragon approaching, both teams prepared for what could be the deciding fight of the game. The ensuing clash saw both AD carries fall, although CFO managed to hold their ground and keep the fight alive. However, a crucial pick on Zhiqian “Shad0w” Zhao eventually tipped the scales in KC's favour, allowing the LEC squad to push through and destroy CFO's Nexus. KC completed the comeback after 36 minutes, finishing with a 20–12 kill lead to secure the series victory.
With their victory, Karmine Corp. have survived the fourth round of the Swiss Stage and will have one final chance to qualify for the Knockout Stage.
Meanwhile, CTBC Flying Oyster bow out of the competition in 12th–14th place, taking home US$125,000 in consolation prize money.
