Post game Ballistix: "Our opponent was desperate that fight ... we think that made them win"

We had the chance to meet up with Ballistix after their victory and join the rest of the media in posing them questions:

After their victory, Ballistix were all smiles. The crowd was clearly on the side of Fnatic, but that is to be expected. They were the underdogs whose victory over a giant would have brought the house down. But Ballistix is used to being the giant, especially when it comes to international competition.

After the fanfare, the team seemed shocked that they had won. Lining up in the press room, the questions came one after another. With the help of a translator (and some native Korean speaking journalist) I was able to catch their responses:

How does it feel to be champions?

Nachojin: Before I came here, I told my parents I would come home winning, so I am very happy

Did you ever feel pressure?

Jeongha: In the third game, when I died a lot as Zeratul, I felt a lot of pressure.

Nachojin: I can not describe how I feel. I won, and I still can't believe this happened.

What was going on through your head during game 4?

Noblesse: We scrimmed Fnatic the most when we came here. When we were going against each other, we were constantly thinking about the matches we played.

The Warhead Junction boss fight (during game 3) was intense. What were you guys feeling during that intense moment?

Nachojin: Our opponent was very desperate during that fight, they knew it was their last chance. We think that made them play to their best ability and win

How powerful do you think the Tassadar / Tracer combo is and do you think teams don't respect it enough?

Noblesse: Tracer really depends on how good the players plays that day. The Tassadar needs to be having a very good day as well. We have an amazing Tracer player and that is why the comp worked.

If MVP Black is in the final, how would the match be different?

Nachojin: We were pretty confident MVP black was going to be in the final. If they were in the final, it would probably be the same result. We prepared our draft for them.

What was the most exciting moment for you during your match against Fnatic

SCSCL: On the third game we lost to Tracer. So we drafted it and won with it next game. That was my most memorable moment.

NachoJin: On the third match, when I took out all three heroes at the bottom side of the map-- that was the most memorable for me.

Noblesse: In Korea, a lot of players tell me that I am not very good at E.T.C, but when I won the first match as E.T.C, that was the most memorable.

Jeongha: In the second match, when I showed a great result with Zeratul, that was the greatest moment for me.

SWoy: On the last map, when we finally won, that was the most memorable.

*Chu8 then asks the next question in fluent Korean

After you realized you won, what was the one thing you wanted to say to your mom?

Nachojin: I want to call her, and tell her- mom I won!

SCSC: I want to tell my parents that I finally did it!

Noblesse: I'm probably going to call my parents and say mom, look, this is me.

*Everyone laughs*

Jeongha: I'll say the same-- mom, I did it!

Swoy: I want to say the same thing that I won, but I want to tell her with the confidence that I went to BlizzCon

This question is for SCSC and Noblesse-- you were here last year and lost. Does that moment haunt you and how does it feel to come back and win?

SCSC: We were confident we were gonna win last year, but we failed in the semi-final. A lot of our fans were saying a lot of negative things about us. Now, we think they are going to say a lot of good things

When you first started your team, did you think you were gonna win BlizzCon? How did you feel?

Jeongha: When we first practiced together I thought we weren't going to win-- just make it to the semi-final. But as we practiced more, we realized how good we were as a team. After winning so many times and winning Super League we were confident.
