Riot is opening more doors into the LCP for 2027.
Riot Games is looking for tournament organisers to help run Wild Card competitions feeding into the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) in 2027.
The publisher has opened registrations of interest for organisations that want to operate their own Wild Card tournament next season, as part of the wider changes coming to the APAC LoL Esports ecosystem.
Riot previously announced that the LCP will undergo a major restructuring in 2027, with teams starting each split in domestic competition before the top sides progress into the LCP. Wild Card regions will retain their own route into the league under the new system, although Riot has yet to reveal exactly how qualification will work.
Riot opens interest form for LCP 2027 Wild Card tournaments
In its latest LCP 2027 update, Riot said it wants to create more competitive opportunities across APAC while maintaining representation from different parts of the region.
Organisations interested in running a Wild Card tournament can now register through Riot’s official interest form. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. Wild Card competitions already provide teams from regions outside the PCS, VCS, and LJL with a route towards the LCP. That pathway will continue in 2027 alongside the league’s broader move towards open qualification.
Riot has not yet announced the format for next year’s Wild Card competitions, how many tournaments will be held, or how many LCP qualification places will be available through them.
