Bakery offers explanation for his teams performance at Dreamhack: Tours

Citing mistakes on identifying the current meta, predictable strategies, and personal illness, James "Bakery" Baker candidly speaks to fans and supporters.

Bakery has openly expressed his utmost respect for MVP Black and their team captain Sake many times before. A competitive player through and through, his goals for Team Dignitas go farther than just EU. He wants to be the best team in the world, just like MVP Black.

Which is why when Sake commented that, during Dreamhack Tours, Dignitas was "terribly focused" on a "2 support obvious tactic", Bakery just had to respond. In a TwitLonger posted on @BakeryHeroes, the star support player explained exactly why Team Dignitas performance didn't live up to everyone's expectations.

They were, after all, the favorites to win the tournament-- so much so that even Sake conceded that he is "so sad" to see Dignitas play the way they did. "They are so strong" he continues, but didn't play their signature "Dignitas game style" during the tournament.

Bakery agreed with Sake's view on things and went on to explain how his team " incorrectly identified the way that the meta was heading" a mistake that " restricted [their] draft freedom to a large degree"

You can find the post yourself here, and anyone interested in the Heroes competitive scene should give it a read. It's a surprising insight on what goes on in the mind of a team captain after a big loss and a huge show of respect towards the Team Dignitas fans that were expecting a big win.
