mYinsanity, and three EU teams you've never heard of advance to DreamHack main event.

The top teams in EU seem to be in constant flux, and the last round of DreamHack All-Stars: Tours qualifiers was another strange reminder.

EU Summer Regional 2 - DreamHack All-Stars: Tours

Do you know who "Put it in the Chips" are?

How about "Never Lucky?"

No? Evil Murkies ring a bell?

If you've heard of these teams, you are in the minority. They came into the 2nd EU Summer regional qualifiers as rank outsiders but, in spite of this, they took the last four spots in the main event alongside mYinsanity. mYinsaity in particular seems to be gaining a lot of positive momentum, and any slump they were previously suffering seems to have vanished. With a 2nd place finish during regional #1 and their easy victory during this last qualifier, mYinsanity seems stronger than ever.

Even their drafts look confident. The aggressive Kerrigan + Diablo was super effective this game. Possibly more important was that mYinsanity had the nerve to draft some in-your-face heroes and play them as well as they did.

Silenced Monkeys, The Sandwich Monkey and Virtus.pro were favored to take the 3 spots alongside mYinsanity but their early elimination should have come as no suprise. After all, the only teams to not have some sort of lineup change before this qualifier was mYinsaity and Evil Murkies. Hell, Put It In the Chips is a completely new team and even they faired better than teams who made last minute roster changes.

As EU teams continue to shift and change every other week, expect to see plenty more upsets.
