Super League Group B play starts and attempts to change the stun meta

MVP Black versus Young Boss starts Group B competition with some surpising hero choices.

MVP Black went into Super League favored to take the 1st place spot. Tuesday they continued that journey, facing Young Boss in a best of 5 from Group B. Not only did Young Boss attempt some curve balls, but MVP Black brought out some tricks they hoped would prove successful.

Right off the bat in the first game MVP Black started with a strong draft but ended it with two extremely questionable picks. Brightwing as a support (which hasn’t been a strong healer by herself as of late), and their last pick being Greymane. Definitely wasn’t a miss-click but a legitimate team strategy that just didn’t come out in their favor.

Frankly Greymane just couldn’t cut it when it came to early game kills causing the rest of the team to pick up the pieces for themselves. Viewers were begging for a solid Greymane game from MVP Black, as a sign that he may bring a shift in the scene. Unfortunately we were all left empty handed.

Young Boss returned the favor in game 3 tiebreaker, picking Cho'Gall. The duo played by Dami and The Q actually treated them well in the early game but a tricky off position about halfway into the game unfortunately caused a triple kill including Cho’Gall. This gave MVP Black the shift in momentum they needed to make a swift comeback to win game 3 and continue on to win game 4 as well.

MVP Black currently leads the group with their one win, likewise with Rave in Group A.
Group play continues next week with Group A on Monday and Group B on Tuesday both at 11:00CET/2:00 EST. All games can be seen in English on OGN Global.
