Defeating Gamers2, the EU powerhouse is, for the third time, in a DreamHack grand finals
Despite a draft phase "stranger then it used to be", Team Liquid has defeated Gamers2 in the winners brackets of DreamHack Valencia. Team Captain Vortix was confident, but humble during his post game victory, stating that if Team Liquid plays their best, it "doesn't matter who we play in the grand finals."
Gamers2 had a solid strategy going forward with the match, and the matches were relatively close. Team Liquid has been leading the current Nazeebo resurgance, something Gamers2 was well aware of when they banned him along with Jaina. Team Liquid, despite his recent nerfs, then drafted a dedicated Illidan line up, with Uther and Rehgar for double the support. While banning Nazeebo was a good idea, it gave Blackscorp the opportunity to show off his impressive Illidan skills and with this victory his record becomes 29-6 with his signature melee assassin.
Na'vi, Team Roccat, and Gamers2 are now fighting for the chance to fight Team Liquid in the grand finals. The heroes on display here are truly top of the line, and if you have the time, don't miss a match!
