What is Heroes of the Dorm?

Blizzard will hold a televised collegiate tournament for over $450,000 in tuition dollars.

Heroes of the Storm is about to break new grounds. college grounds, to be exact. Announcing what will be "the first live televised coverage of a collegiate eSports event on an ESPN network", Blizzard will host a series of open qualifiers that only college students can compete in. Each member of a 5 person team will win up to $25,000 per year to go towards their college tuition. On top of these prizes include state of the art PCs and PC gaming gaming accessories. Any team of 5 college students that sign up with verifiable student e-mail address will recieve free NA beta passes as well.

One of the most interesting aspects of this event is a "fantasy bracket" that will begin once the top 64 teams have been found. Similar to other sporting events, viewers will be able to submit their prediction of how the final bracket will look, with the most accurate prediction receiving a whopping $10,000 dollars. Then, 25 randomly selected particpates will win a whole slew of PC gaming equipment, including an entire PC optimized for Heroes of the Storm.

But for everyone not in college (and not lucky enough to win the fantasy bracket), so what? Well, Blizzard has even thought of that too. Anyone who does particpiate in the Fantasy Bracket will recieve this exclusove Azmodan ingame portrait.

Why Azmodan? I don't know. However, you can bet I will fill out a fantasy bracket just to get it. These open qualifers start March 28th, so be sure to sign your team of college pals here for a chance to finally find a harmony between academics and Heroes of the Storm.
