Heroes Premier League, organised by Nexus Champ, will be one of the first league based Heroes of the Storm tournaments ever. It will feature 12 teams across North America and 8 teams in Europe over the next 7 weeks.
The Heroes Premier League will be the first full-scale league for the currently-in-Alpha Heroes of the Storm. Organised by Nexus Champ, the North American division will feature 12 of the top teams in North America, notably all of whom are already participating in the ESV Champions League. The European division will feature 8 teams from across Europe.
Each continent will compete for the top four spots in their respective divisions, which will grant them a spot in the post-season single elimination tournament. The tournament will begin on 11 September, and will run until 30 October. The full schedule of all the matches and the post-season is yet to be released, but will be updated shortly.
The group stages will see the North American teams split into two conferences, with each conference playing a full round robin sequence. At the same team, to keep the original schedule of one match a week, every team will play two matches against opponents in the other group. The European division is a more straightforward contest, with the 8 teams battling it out for the top four spots.
The top four teams of each division will enter a single elimination tournament that will be played online. The tournament will feature matches across the Atlantic, with the teams playing for the prestige of saying that they won the first ever fully competitive league in Heroes of the Storm. No prize money will be given because the game is still in Alpha.
