The Stardew Valley creator has teased much more to come in this next update.
Game developer ConcernedApe has delivered an update on Stardew Valley’s next major patch at long last. The 1.7 update, which is set to add Clint and Sandy as new romance options to the game, is now likely to launch in 2027.
Additionally, the update is said to be “the largest Stardew Valley update ever.”
When is Stardew Valley 1.7 coming out?
Game developer ConcernedApe’s beloved farming sim Stardew Valley has been the host of an ongoing soundtrack tour called Symphony of Seasons, which recently made its way over to Colorado’s Red Rocks. At the event, Eric “ConcernedApe” Baron showed up to deliver a short speech for fans of the game, teasing details for its highly-anticipated 1.7 update.
According to Barone, Stardew Valley’s 1.7 update is “looking to be the largest Stardew Valley update ever. It’s jam-packed.” That will likely be news to anyone expecting a smaller update this time around, but Barone also revealed a tentative release window: the update is likely launching sometime in 2027.
Barone teased that “Clint and Sandy are just the tip of the iceberg–there’s so much more in the update. You guys are in for a real treat.” The rest of Update 1.7’s contents are currently unknown, as Barone did not reveal additional information on its contents at the event. As for Clint and Sandy, the developer had previously confirmed that both characters would soon be made eligible for marriage in-game.
