Pros:
- Fresh Meat, etc
- Just recently dropped to 10,000 gold.
- Confirmed to be a a strong hero already, IE not bottom tier.
- Quick match destroyer.
- Scariest hero trailer yet.
- Can help you cheat.
- Has a matching mount.
Cons:
- Missed the hype train.
- Needs a team built around him for max effectiveness.
- Missing meat related kill quotes we were all hoping for.
- Easily countered by certain heroes (Anub'arak, Falstad, Tyrael)
- Requires early game snowball to reach max effectiveness
Leoric
Pros:
- Spooky scary skeleton montages
- Royalty.
- "Welcome to your tomb (doom)" refference. Original source
- Wraith trait means you never stop playing: max entertainment value to gold ratio.
- "You can not kill that which has no life"
- His Skeletal Swing Q ability is impossible to miss.
- More likely to help your team composition than yet another assassin.
Cons:
- Paranoia might make you kill all of your family and friends
- When you miss with Heroics everyone will notice.
- Entomb has Void Prison levels of get-your-teammates-killed properties.
- High potential to feed with aggressive respawns.
- Diablo players have tons of experience killing you and dodging your huge swings.
- Enduring old school Dota jokes.
- Worst hero to play for Alt-tabbing during death timer or for a restroom break.
The Monk
Pros:
- A new support.
- Versatile in a draft due to his trait which allows you to choose damage or healing.
- Allows you to dodge the play a support 3 times quest by choosing damage trait every game.
- Serious guys, it's a new support.
- Is one of the few heroes in the game that is primarily yellow.
- Helps you find your inner calm and tranquility.
- Everyone else will have already bought Leoric and The Butcher, leaving you special and unique.
- Looks cool in the trailer.
Cons:
- Between the choice of a demon butcher and a skeletal king... you choose a bald guy?
- Even if the damage build is totally viable, you will probably still get flamed for choosing it.
- People don't usually watch healing highlight reels.
- Has that vanilla Uther / Raynor "your-the-good-guy" feel.
