The sixth qualifier cup for Dew Challenge Hearthstone Malaysia concluded in a 3-0 fashion, carried out by Porkmypig’s Druid / Warrior / Priest line-up.
The grassroots Hearthstone community in Malaysia continues to wreck face in the qualifiers for the Dew Challenge grand finals. With a fairly dominant run, Meng “Porkmypig” Tan placed first in the sixth qualifier and banked RM 1,000 to go with his grand finals seed. Porkmypig 3-0’d another tournament newcomer Yan “Elitd93” Lau in the finals but also Hearthstone veteran Chong “Chongger” Er, otherwise known for his success in tournaments like WCA Asia.
Porkmypig’s line-up of choice was fairly defensive, running Dragon Priest and Control Warrior but also Ramp Druid, the latter not being seen in tournaments for a long time. Dragon Priest was also in Elit93’s line-up, showing the rise of the class over tournament staples like Mage and Hunter.
