GvG cards now available in Arena, the nerf patch rolls out

The official launch of the Goblins vs Gnomes expansion is some days off still, but the new cards have already invaded the arena and can be drafted and tested.

Starting today, Hearhstone arena players will be able to tinker with the new 120+ cards coming next week as the engineering of the gnomes and the explosiveness and the goblins have been made available in arena only.

This is a nice opportunity - and a cool part of the GvG hype machine - for fans to experience the upcoming content. Although there's no way to add GvG cards in your collection (arena rewards are still in the form of classic card packs), you get to see what happens when you cast an [card]Unstable Portal[/card] or the level of randomness and variance the spare parts add.

The arena upgrade is part of the pre-launch event of GvG which also comes with one free arena run, something that usually costs 150 in-game gold $1,99 to unlock.

With GvG's invasion into the arena, along comes also the latest balance patch, announced by Blizzard a few days ago. The changes are to nerf three cards - [card]Soulfire[/card], [card]Flare[/card] and [card]Gadgetzan Auctioneer[/card] - increasing their mana cost with one in attempt to balance out hunters, warlocks and miracle rogues.
