The third in the Heroes of Cards series of events gets underway on Monday, featuring a stacked line up including top ranked players Savjz, Kolento and Rdu. The eight players will fight out over five days for a share of $5,500, and a place in December's Heroes of Cards #4 - a $20,000 offline event.
The Heroes of Cards events continue to grow, and Heroes of Cards #3 (which runs from November 17-22) will feature a larger prize pool that the first two combined. The champion of the first event, Rdu, and Heroes of Cards #2 Kolento join Savjz, Lothar, Reynad, Sjow, Gnimsh and Powder in the eight man line up. The winner of the event after the five days will pocket $2,500, while both the winner and runner up will be guaranteed an invite to December's Heroes of Cards #4. The December event will be the first offline event in the series, and feature a massive $20,000 prize pool. That event takes place on December 13 & 14 in the Netherlands.
The eight players are split into two four-man groups - Lothar, Reynad, Savjz and Sjow will make up Group A, while Kolento, Rdu, Gnimsh and Powder will contest Group B. The top two in each group will advance to a double elimination playoff stage.
The tournament will once again be casted by Kripparrian, who this time will be accompanied by Azael.
