Handlock perfection sends TiddlerCelestial to BlizzCon finals

Wang "TiddlerCelestial" Xieyu is the first BlizzCon grand finalist. The ViCi Gaming player 3-0'd Golden Coin's Seung-Ha "Kranich" Choi on the back of flawless Handlock play and is getting ready for the winner of Firebat and DTwo.

TiddlerCelestial was dubbed as China's greatest hope in the world finals. With a second place finish at the $190,000 WCA and a juggernaught run through the Chinese BlizzCon qualifiers, Tiddler became the Asian with the highest chances of upsetting the western scene.

A 2-0 run through the group stage showed Tiddler means business as he 3-1'd Numberguy in the opening match and won a hard-fought series against IHU's DTwo in the winners match to make the quarter finals. There, he was met by Miracle Master Tarei where his trusted Handlock deck helped him for another 3-1.

Kranich became TiddlerCelestial's semi-final opponent after the Korean upset tournament favorite Kolento in the quarter finals. If the Ukranian gave Kranich a hard time, taking it to full five games, it was nothing compared to TiddlerCelestial's play. Opening with Handlock, the Chinese took game after game, winning the hard Shaman match-up, out-taunting Kranich's weird OTK Warrior and finishing it off in a Handlock mirror.

TiddlerCelestial is thus guaranteed at leaast $50,000 for being a top two finisher at BlizzCon. To win the coveted trophy, however, the Chinese must defeat the North American opposition as Firebat and DTwo get ready to play the second semi final, which you can watch here.
