Viagame, the streaming side behind DreamHack Summer's eSports tournaments, have announced the groups for their inaugural House Cup.
The eight invited professional players and eight players who made it through the open qualifiers were split evenly among the four groups, with the top ranked players generally being kept apart. The eight qualifiers made it through 256-person open brackets that were held over the past few weeks.
The two highest ranked players who will meet in the group stages are TidesofTime (2) from Tempo Storm and ek0p (7) from Cloud 9, they will be joined by open qualifiers Vodkita and Pappastorma in group B. After regaining top spot in the rankings, RDU will meet Cloud 9 captain Gnimsh, Alesh and Seloko in group D. Tempo Storm's team captain Reynad will take on another Cloud 9 player, and one of the favourites to win the World Championships in November, Kolento in group C.
The tournament, which takes place on October 10-12, features a $20,000 prize pool and will be streamed live on Viagame.com. Viagame will run multiple streaming channels during the tournament, with two matches being streamed simultaneously. Viagame have announced Team ROOT's Era and Sjow as casters for the event.
