Hearthstone is going towards interesting next few days as the competitive scene is about to get fired up with WellPlayed's second tournament, the Hyper X invitational, featuring names like Amaz, Forsen, Reynad and Rdu.

The HyperX Invitational was announced a week ago when the hardware manufacturer paired with WellPlayed productions to bring the next installment to the WellPlayed Cup held back in June. Although they decided to keep the prize pool and the general double elimination format, the organizers did build upon the previous edition, implementing a ban system and an online qualifiers part for improved tournament experience.

Coming out of the double elimination qualifiers were the German duo Wuaschtsemme of team Lucky Draw and Innovation's Theude. The two are now eligible to compete for the lion's share of the $3,000 in the main event, going against the slew of invited players.

Theude will get the honor to open the tournament, going against Liquid's Amaz at 19:00 CET on August 23rd. The rest of the day will see the other round 1 matches played out as well, featuring the battle of streamers between Forsen and Amaz, the David versus Goliath battle of Rdu-Wuaschtsemme and, finally, the all-American clash between Trump and TidesofTime.

Day 1 schedule and GosuBets (games start at 19:00 CET)

Hong Kong Amaz vs Germany Theude
Sweden Forsen vs United States Reynad
Romania Rdu vs Germany Wuaschtsemme
