Team World Elite open Hearthstone division

The Chinese multi-gaming eSports giant dips their toe in Blizzard's card-game. World Elite's Hearthstone division will start with a three-man roster, led by ECL 2013 runner-up HunterMing.

The family of World Elite just grew. Until August 8th, the Chinese organisation hosted rosters in three games - League of Legends, WarCraft 3 and StarCraft 2 - and employed more than 20 players. Yesterday, they added three more as WE's Hearthstone division is officially born.

World Elite are the second of the major Chinese eSports giants that venture into Hearthstone. The first were Invictus Gaming who established their card game team on May 1st this year, signing former StarCraft 2 pro-gamer Comm, who had also won the $5,000 ECL 2013 tournament, along with five other players.

World Elite's starting roster consists of three players. The most recognized face is Minming "HunterMing" Xie, known for his second place finish in the aforementioned ECL tournament. Next to him is Lei "HuLu" Zhang who became the champion of the grassroots Cybercafe Chan Championship earlier this April. The third player is Lichen "YouLove" Zhang, who is yet to fill his list with competitive Hearthstone achievements.
