Overwatch is getting Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2 collabs in 2027

David and Talia are headed to Overwatch as Blizzard and CD Projekt Red expand their growing crossover plans.

Overwatch is heading to Night City, as Blizzard Entertainment and CD Projekt Red have announced upcoming crossovers with both Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and its upcoming sequel during BlizzCon 2026.

The crossover was revealed during the 30 Years of Battle.net panel, where the two companies discussed their growing partnership and the addition of CD Projekt Red games to Blizzard's PC launcher. While the panel initially focused on Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Battle.net, it also confirmed that the partnership will stretch into Overwatch in 2027. Both the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be part of the collaboration, although Blizzard has not yet revealed when the crossover will arrive or exactly what players will be able to get.

What do we know about the Overwatch x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration?

While details are still fairly light, artwork shown during the BlizzCon panel gave players their first idea of which Edgerunners characters will be involved.

David Martinez from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Talia from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 were both featured, confirming that the collaboration will pull characters from both anime series. Blizzard has not yet revealed which Overwatch heroes will receive cosmetics based on the two characters, or whether other familiar faces such as Lucy will also appear. The announcement also came on the fourth anniversary of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, while Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is due to premiere exclusively on Netflix on 20 October 2026, just over a month after BlizzCon.

When is the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration coming to Overwatch?

Blizzard and CD Projekt Red have only confirmed a 2027 release window for the Overwatch collaborations, with more details expected closer to launch.

The partnership between the two companies is also expanding beyond Overwatch. Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Battle.net, following The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and its upcoming Songs of the Past expansion.

Blizzard also shared new details on the previously announced The Witcher 3 x Diablo IV crossover, confirming at BlizzCon that it will include a Geralt of Rivia cosmetic for the Barbarian. The outfit is based on Geralt's Kaer Morhen armour from The Witcher 3, with bear pelts added to the design, while the Barbarian's weapons will also be styled after Geralt's signature swords.

Developers also teased during the BlizzCon panel that "there will be more coming" in 2027, suggesting the Edgerunners collaboration will not be the last crossover to come out of the partnership.
