World of Warcraft: Forever is the long-rumoured "Classic Plus", bringing players back to the game's halcyon days while also adding new content.
Blizzard Entertainment has revealed World of Warcraft: Forever, finally proving years of rumours that the classic MMORPG will be getting a “Classic Plus” spin-off. WoW: Forever is set to release on 4 November, bringing the number of distinct WoW titles to three, alongside mainline WoW and WoW: Classic.
Just like WoW: Classic, WoW: Forever rewinds the clock back to the game's first year all the way back in 2004, complete with retro graphics. But what sets WoW: Forever apart is that it will allow players to explore places in Azeroth never seen before, and immerse themselves in stories that were never part of the original game's progression.
What's new in World of Warcraft: Forever?
WoW: Forever adds tons of new content, including three new zones, overhauls to several existing zones, nine new dungeons, two new raids. Of course, players can also expect plenty of new quests to take on in both the overhauled existing zones and the three new ones.
A new race in the Skyborne Elves is also being added, with new race-class combos also available for players that are tired of all these elves running around. Some of the new race-class combos shown in the trailer appear to be a Dwarf Shaman, Forsaken Paladin, and Orc Mage.
WoW: Forever will also have a level cap of 60 for the foreseeable future, though Blizzard assured that there's still plenty to enjoy for players who have yet to reach the game's max level.
