FX's Far Cry TV series adds Steve Buscemi and Lizzy Caplan to cast

The Far Cry TV adaptation is coming along.

FX and Ubisoft have officially confirmed a new addition to the cast of their upcoming live-action adaptation of the Far Cry game franchise: Steve Buscemi. The adaptation will be an anthology TV series airing on FX, with Buscemi’s role in the series currently unknown.

What is the Far Cry TV series about?

Details are scarce on Ubisoft and FX’s upcoming Far Cry TV series, but we now know three members of its main cast:

  • Rob Mac
  • Lizzy Caplan
  • Steve Buscemi

Series star Rob Mac is also serving as co-creator, marking another collaboration with Ubisoft following the two’s previous partnership on the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest. Noah Hawley will also co-create the series, returning to a long-time collaboration with FX, which has spawned multiple TV projects including Fargo, Alien: Earth, and Legion.

Plot details for the upcoming Far Cry series are currently being kept under wraps. However, it has been confirmed that the series will follow an anthology format much like the game franchise, turning to a new cast and setting every season.

The Far Cry series will air on FX, Hulu, and Disney+ internationally. Its release date is currently unknown. Judging by the recent spree of casting announcements, it looks like fans can safely expect more news to come as the series heads into production.
