This week, Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct livestream to show off upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, while capping off Summer Game Fest 2026, no less! We got new looks at highly-anticipated games like Kingdom Hearts IV and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Here are the biggest news from June 2026’s Nintendo Direct:
Rhythm Heaven Groove
Nintendo showed off an extended look at gameplay for its upcoming rhythm game Rhythm Heaven Groove.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom’s upcoming action-adventure game hits the Nintendo Switch 2 on 25 September, 2026.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
This action-adventure game comes to Nintendo Switch on 9 October, 2026.
Stellar Blade
Eve’s sci-fi adventures in Stellar Blade are also coming to Nintendo Switch.
Orbitals
This sci-fi co-op adventure game is coming to Nintendo Switch this September, with a recently-revealed release date.
Rayman Legends Retold
This upcoming Rayman remake has also locked in a Nintendo Switch release.
Big Walk
Take a walk with your friends in… Big Walk! Think Peak, but for walking.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
This slice-of-life One Piece video game allows players to cook with Sanji for iconic characters from the manga/anime.
Pokemon Pokopia
Pokemon Pokopia is officially getting three pieces of DLC in 2026 and 2027! A new water-themed town is coming to the game later in 2026, with two more DLC to follow via the Expansion Pass.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
The iconic tactical RPG franchise Fire Emblem is getting a sequel, entitled Fortune’s Weave. You can choose between playing as multiple heroes, and even meet Sothis, a returning character from Three Houses.
Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet
Ninjala 2 adds the game’s first-ever open world, which its protagonist is thrown into as part of the first of a two-part saga.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Starvation
Vampire Survivors creator poncle is working with Shueisha Games to develop a game adaptation of the iconic Jujutsu Kaisen manga/anime. In this game, eight players compete to fight against cursed spirits and score points. 20+ Jujutsu Kaisen characters are available to play as.
Lord of the Fallen II
Lords of the Fallen II is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this fall.
