White Fox and Black Cat join the fray.
NetEase Games has officially confirmed two new playable characters joining Marvel Rivals: Black Cat and White Fox. The duo will make their debut in Season 7: The Hunt is On, which launches later this week on 20 March, 2026. The season also sees Marvel Rivals’ ongoing story move forward, with modern-day New York facing a temporal siege.

Black Cat and White Fox join Marvel Rivals in Season 7
Marvel Rivals Season 6 gave players new playable characters in Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone. In the upcoming Season 7, players will get two new playable characters to follow up on the former two heroes: Black Cat and White Fox. Black Cat is a master thief who often undertakes high-stakes heists, while White Fox is a South Korean superhero who can shapeshift into a nine-tailed fox.
Here’s the upcoming season’s premise, according to the trailer’s YouTube description:
"Forces from 2099's Nueva York have begun pouring into modern-day New York, turning the city into ground zero for their expansion. As a temporal plague spreads from the Alchemax Tower and martial law tightens across the city, Mayor Fisk is ready to do whatever it takes to restore order. Marvel Rivals Season 7 will continue the game’s ongoing storyline of shifting timelines and interdimensional wars, this time pitting New Yorks of present and future timelines against one another. Mayor Wilson Fisk, often seen going up against Spider-Man and Daredevil, is looking to end the chaos in his own, likely brutish, way. Meanwhile, Black Cat also seems to be using the ongoing strife to suit her own ends.
It looks like Season 7 will bring Marvel Rivals’ two new playable characters together rather violently, much like Angela and Daredevil’s first clash in Season 4. Time will tell if Black Cat and White Fox make up in the back half of Season 7, or if they will fall prey to New York’s futuristic invasion instead.
