Death Stranding 2: On the Beach heads to PC next month, pre-order bonuses revealed

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach heads to PC on 19 March, less than a year after its initial launch.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2019 Death Stranding, is coming to PC in less than a month. Kojima Productions revealed the release date during the PlayStation State of Play earlier today, confirming its PC launch on 19 March.

Originally released in June last year exclusively on PlayStation 5, Death Stranding 2 went on to receive seven nominations at The Game Awards 2025 and was regarded as one of the standout games of the year. Now, nearly a year after its initial launch, more gamers will have the chance to experience Hideo Kojima’s latest masterpiece, as the sequel heads to PC.

The game will be available on Steam and Epic Games, with pre-purchases now open at US$69.99 for the standard edition.

Death Stranding 2 pre-order rewards

Pre-order incentives have also been revealed. Early buyers will receive:

  • Custom Hologram: Quokka (early unlock)
  • Battle Skeleton: Silver (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
  • Boost Skeleton: Silver (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
  • Bokka Skeleton: Silver (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)

Deluxe Edition pre-orders will additionally gain:

  • Machine Gun [MP] (Lv1) early unlock
  • Patch 70: Quokka, Patch 71: Chiral Cat, Patch 72: Why Me?
  • Battle Skeleton: Gold (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
  • Boost Skeleton: Gold (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)
  • Bokka Skeleton: Gold (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)

More updates to be revealed

In a PlayStation Blog post, Kojima Productions’ head of publishing Jay Boor detailed new game modes coming to both PC and PS5 versions, with more to be announced.

“We can also confirm today that new modes and features will be coming to both PC and PS5 at launch that will offer players new challenges and rewards. More details to share on that coming next month, so stay tuned!” Boor stated.

The announcement also highlighted extensive PC support, including ultrawide monitors at both 21:9 (UltraWidescreen) and 32:9 (Super UltraWidescreen), as well as 4K resolution. 

Additional features include NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel upscalers, Frame Generation, and uncapped framerates. Players can choose to play using the DualSense controller or the traditional keyboard and mouse setup.
