The departure of almost the entire Xtreme Gaming Dota 2 roster follows an abysmal showing for the team in The International 2026.
Chinese organisation 
Xtreme Gaming (XG) have parted ways with its entire Dota 2 roster, with the exception of superstar carry player 
Wang “Ame” Chunyu. In a post on its official Weibo account, XG announced that 
Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang, Jing “Xxs” Lin, Xu “fy” Linsen, Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap, and coach Zhi Cheng “LaNm” Zhang have all left the team.
XG said that the departure of most of its roster came after “friendly communication and negotiation between both parties, and with full respect for the players' personal wishes," according to a machine translation of the announcement.
The departure of most of XG's roster comes after an abysmal showing for the team in The International (TI) 2026, held in Shanghai, China back in August. Despite being the runners-up of TI 2025, XG failed to qualify for the Playoffs of TI 2026 after losing to fellow Chinese squad 
Team Resilience in the final round of the Group Stage.
With XG getting knocked out in the Group Stage, as well as Resilience and 
Vici Gaming both losing in the Elimination Round, no Chinese teams were able to play in front of their home crowd in the TI 2026 Playoffs.
Xtreme Gaming clean house ahead of roster rebuild around Ame
With Ame being the only player remaining in XG's roster, the organisation seems to be gearing up for a full rebuild around the superstar carry player. XG have yet to announce replacements for its departing players and coach.
Coach LaNm was the most recent addition to the team, having joined just two weeks before TI 2026 kicked off to replace Ning “xiao8” Zhang. At the time, the organisation admitted that LaNm took over as their coach “in a time of crisis”–which XG were clearly unable to survive, as evidenced by their poor showing in TI 2026.
“LaNm took over the coaching role during a critical period. In our brief time working together, he calmly and pragmatically managed the team's performance, dedicating himself to training and tactical adjustments, and accompanying the team through a demanding schedule. We thank him for his dedication and responsibility, and wish him all the best in his future coaching endeavors,” XG said of LaNm's brief time with the team.
Xxs also leaves XG after almost three years with the organisation, having joined in December 2023, and was the only other player apart from Ame to be part of the roster that came painfully close to winning the Aegis in TI 2025.
“Xxs, as a veteran player of our club, withstood immense pressure in the position of offlane, repeatedly stepping up to absorb damage and break through enemy lines. He accompanied the team through highs and lows, always giving his all, leading the team to the finals at [TI 2025]. Thank you for your long-term dedication and hard work. May your future be bright and your brilliance undiminished,” XG said of Xxs' long tenure under their banner.
Meanwhile, NothingToSay, fy, and xNova joined XG in October 2025 shortly after the team's second place finish at TI 2025. Many expected at the time that trio would help the team get over the hump and finally claim the Aegis of Champions that has long eluded the struggling Chinese Dota 2 scene. XG's parting words for those three players are as follows:
“During xNova's time with the team, he was dedicated and responsible on the field, silently shouldering the team's defensive and vision control responsibilities, and contributing many brilliant defensive plays and team fight coordination. As a partner who fought alongside him for the championship on the TI14 finals day, thank you for your contributions along the way, and wish you all the best for the future,”
“NothingToSay quickly integrated into the team after joining, consistently delivering stable output in various tournaments with his solid laning skills, using mid-lane advantages to open up opportunities for the side lanes. Thank you for your all-out effort during your time with the team, and we look forward to seeing your continued outstanding performance in future matches.”
