Hideo Kojima has shed more light on his upcoming espionage-themed game.
Kojima Productions has confirmed its cast for Physint, its upcoming “next-gen action-espionage game.” While game director Hideo Kojima warned fans that the game remains in pre-production while the rest of Kojima Productions is busy with other projects, he did release a new poster for the title.

Physint might be years away, but its main cast is taking shape
Game developer Kojima Productions held a 10th anniversary event called “Beyond the Strand” this week to dive into its next big projects, following the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. After discussing its next horror project OD, game director Hideo Kojima spoke briefly about the studio’s next game after that: Physint.
Kojima had previously revealed Physint back in 2024, as his next collaboration with PlayStation Studios. The director had revealed that Physint would be an “action-espionage game” in the vein of Metal Gear Solid, but confirmed that it was still early in pre-production. According to Kojima, the title focuses on “phsyical intelligence,” a concept from which its name is derived.
As of this week, the game seems to be taking shape–but remains in Kojima’s hands alone, while the rest of Kojima Productions is busy with OD. Kojima confirmed that, while recent SAG strikes had slowed progress on the game, he was able to confirm three members of the game’s main cast at least.
Physint’s cast includes:
- Don Lee (Train to Busan, The Outlaws)
- Charlee Fraser (Anyone But You, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga)
- Minami Hamabe (Godzilla: Minus One, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas)
A release date for Physint has not been confirmed.
