The 12 teams that have earned an invite to The International 10 have been finalized.
WePlay AniMajor isn't even over yet, but the 12 invite spots have already been divided up and handed out based on DPC points.
Earlier today Team Nigma fell short of advancing at the WePlay AniMajor when Evil Geniuses eliminated them with a clean 2:0 sweep. It didn't just put their WePlay title and trophy dream to an end, but also crushed their hopes for a TI10 invite. Their loss cost them the DPC points needed to place in the top 12. Nigma will need to fight OG, Team Liquid, Tundra, and even dark horse teams such as Vikin.gg, and Brame for the final slot allocated for Europe.
One team's loss is another's treasure. With Nigma failing to clinch those desperately needed points, Thunder Predator became the 12th team to secure the invite. That means South America will see THREE teams at The International this year.
The real winners of the DPC 2021 Season 2 seems to be China. The region will have a staggering FIVE teams competing in Sweden.

The TI10 closed qualifiers
Six slots are up for grabs in the regional qualifiers. Each of the six major regions will have one ticket to offer to TI10.
- CIS & South America: June 23 to 26
- North America & Southeast Asia: June 30 to July 3
- China & Europe: July 7 to 10
The International 10
The International 10, will be held in Stockholm, Sweden between August 5-15 with a $40,018,195 prize pool on the line. The group stage matches will unfold August 5-8, while the playoffs will kick off on the 10th of the month. At this time there is no official word on whether there will be a live audience at the event.
