Evil Geniuses announce updates to their roster and staff

Evil Geniuses have announced a few changes to both their starting line-up and their support staff. Which will take effect immediately.

Saahil ‘UNiVeRse’ Arora has parted ways with the North American squad, making way for the re-introduction of Rasmus ‘MiSeRy’ Filipsen, who previously played for the EG roster back in 2011-2012. The new addition allows the team to move Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis back into a core role, while both MiSeRy and Andreas ‘Cr1t-‘ Nielsen will be picking up the support roles. The new roster also means that Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan will move into an offlane postion and hopefully excel in this spot too. MiSeRy is an extremely versatile player and well-known throughout the Dota 2 sphere, enjoying a 2^nd place finish with Digital Chaos at The International 6 and took the 2016 Shanghai Major with Team Secret.

Alongside the departure of Universe from the EG squad, Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman will also be leaving the team. SVG served as the team’s full-time coach from the Manila Masters. The team and staff thanked both SVG and Universe for their time within the organization and wished them the best of luck with their futures. Phillip Aram, CEO of Evil Geniuses had the following to say,

"This is a hard day. Universe has been a cornerstone of our Dota 2 roster for many years, and the decision to reconfigure the roster without him as a part of it was not one taken lightly. Words cannot thank him for what he has brought to this team and our fans. We wish him the best.

The team has also decided to make a coaching change with SVG. Avery helped us achieve many top results over the last two years and is among the finest people in our game. We thank him for everything he has given us."

Sam ‘BuLba’ Sosale also makes a return to the squad, taking over as the head coach. After helping the team to their International 5 victory back in 2015, he returns in a coaching role to help the team get used to their new roles and positions.
