New trainees coming to Umamusume in April 2026

Nishino Flower

Banner dates: 12 April–20 April (UTC)

The first trainee to arrive this month is the 135 cm-tall Nishino Flower.

She specialises in short and mile distances and excels using the Pace and Late strategies, requiring a balanced distribution of stats. She has stat bonuses for Speed and Power and prefers Turf surfaces.

Her unique skill, “Budding Blossom”, increases her acceleration when well-positioned late in the race, at least halfway through the final corner, as she attempts to move to the front.

Innate skills:

  • Straightaway Adept
  • Acceleration
  • Straight Descent

New support cards to release alongside Nishino Flower include SR Sweep Tosho and SSR Daiwa Scarlet.

Yaeno Muteki

Banner dates: 20 April–29 April (UTC)

Next is the rugged Yaeno Muteki, who excels in medium-distance races, with Pace and Late being her strongest strategies. She prefers Turf aptitude and has a very high stat bonus for Power, with a smaller boost to Guts.

Her unique skill, “Peerless Dance of Flowering Flames”, activates when she overtakes another runner on the final corner or later, increasing her velocity when she is near the front with 300m remaining.

Innate skills:

  • Ramp Up
  • Steadfast
  • Pace Chaser Corners

Support cards SSR Ines Fujin and SSR Twin Turbo will also receive a rerun.

Ines Fujin

Banner dates: 30 April–10 May (UTC)

The ‘Always Electrifying’ Ines Fujin arrives at the end of the month and will remain available into early May. She is another Turf runner specialising in mile and medium distances. However, she stands out among the new trainees as a dedicated Front-runner. Her stat bonuses focus on Speed and Guts.

Her unique skill, “All Charged! It’s Go Time!”, moderately increases her velocity when positioned near the front with around 300m remaining, with a greater boost when exiting an uphill section.

Innate skills:

  • Slipstream
  • Moxie
  • With All My Soul

Alongside her arrival, Cygames will add SR Tokai Teio and SSR Mr. C.B as new support cards.

New alternative cards and events in Umamusume for April 2026

Cygames has also scheduled the release of alternative outfits for several characters.

Ballroom alternatives for Seiun Sky and Fuji Kiseki

Kicking off April, Ballroom versions of Seiun Sky and Fuji Kiseki will be introduced alongside a story event titled “Tonight at the Ligne Droite”. New support cards for this event include SSR Sirius Symboli and SSR Symboli Rudolf.

Ballroom Seiun Sky features higher Speed but reduced Stamina, with her highest stat bonus in Guts. Her unique skill, “Break It Down!”, increases her velocity when positioned near the front on a late-race straight, with a smaller boost if the straight occurs on the backstretch.

Innate skills:

  • Spring Runner
  • Rosy Outlook
  • Fast-Paced

Meanwhile, Ballroom Fuji Kiseki has higher Power and Wits, but lower Guts and Stamina compared to her original version. She has strong bonuses in Power, with smaller boosts to Speed and Wits.

Her unique skill, “Lights of Vaudeville”, greatly increases velocity when breaking out of the pack towards the front on the final straight.

Innate skills:

  • Trick
  • Unyielding Spirit
  • Preferred Position

Cheerleader alternatives for Nice Nature and King Halo

A second set of alternatives will follow with its own story event. From 26 April to 8 May, the “Tracen Cheer Squad” event will introduce Cheerleader versions of Nice Nature and King Halo, alongside new support cards SSR Seeking the Pearl and SSR Bamboo Memory.

Cheerleader Nice Nature features improved overall base stats compared to her original version, with high bonuses to Stamina and Power.

Her unique skill, “Go Go Goal!”, increases her velocity from mid-pack onwards on the final straight after overtaking another runner on the final corner or later. If she is not among the top favourites, she gains an additional steady velocity boost.

Innate skills:

  • Nimble Navigator
  • Tether
  • Late Surger Savvy

Cheerleader King Halo, on the other hand, has strong stat bonuses for Speed, Power, and Guts.

Her unique skill, “Louder! Tracen Cheer!”, allows her to remain at the back during the first half of the race without being rushed, before increasing acceleration on the final straight.

Innate skills:

  • Spring Runner
  • Gap Closer
  • Outer Swell
