Manila Major regional qualifiers
Last week the regional qualifiers for Manila Major concluded with four teams joining the twelve directly invited ones at the main event of the last Major before The International. The four regional winners are as follows:
China: Newbee
America: Digital Chaos
Europe: Team Empire
South East Asia: Mineski
Dota 2 and Warhammer universes collide
The Dota 2 workshop has announced that they will be accepting submissions for Warhammer themed sets for the new Warhammer treasure, set to hit the Dota 2 store on the 1st of September. Submissions will be accepted up until 10 a.m. PDT on August the 22nd. This set is being released in celebration of the release of Total War: WARHAMMER which is due to be available on steam on May 24th.
Just a few days ahead of the EPICENTER: Moscow LAN, the talent lineup has been announced. The LAN event is set to take place at Crocus City Hall, Moscow, Russia and will feature some of the top teams including the likes of Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Alliance and OG, who will be battling for a base prize pool of $500,000.
Mineski to take legal action against former players
In a Facebook post made last week, the biggest e-Sports organization in the Philippines made public its intention to take legal action against the players who allegedly breached their contractual obligations.
ESL One Frankfurt 2016 talent lineup announced
After a Successful ESL one Manila, ESL is back with another edition of ESL One Frankfurt. The event will be held at the Commerzbank-Arena. Frankfurt, Germany on 18-19 June 2016. The tournament will feature eight of the best teams in the world including the likes of Alliance, Team Liquid, and OG who will be battling for a prize pool of $250,000.
Patch 6.87c: Doom nerfed, Silver Edge gets a recipe
Applied after the conclusion of the Manila Major qualifiers, patch 6.87c brought changes to a few popular heroes and a few unpicked heroes. Other changes include a ten gold increase in price for a Wind Lace and its removal from the side shop, and the introduction of a recipe when building a Sliver Edge.
Fnatic roster changes: Mushi returns, Net leaves the organization
Two days ahead of the Epicenter wild card competition, where Fnatic will have to fight for one of the two qualifying spots for the LAN main event, it was officially announced that Mushi is ready to rejoin his team. With only five active roles available in Dota 2, Fnatic’s management was once again given a hard decision regarding who should step down. Changes: Mushi returns, Net leaves the organization.

ESL nudges Indian Dota 2 into the spotlight with ESL India Premiership
ESL has announced the establishment of the ESL India Premiership, a multi-title, year-long Esports extravaganza. The Premiership is comprised of four titles - CS:GO, Dota 2, HearthStone, and Just Dance 4. The titles receive prize pools of different sizes, with Dota 2 and CS:GO receiving the largest amount of money. These titles have prize pools of ?1,875,000 each, which equates to just over $28,000 or €24,000.
