Alliance and Secret qualify for StarLadder XII

The final two places for the StarLadder XII LAN finals have been claimed by Alliance and Team Secret to bring an end to the qualification stage with all eight places now decided. The tournament is due to begin on April 24th.

Alliance have finished top of their group in the StarLadder XII European qualifiers and have secured their place in the LAN finals alongside Team Secret. Both teams secured victories over SCARYFACEZZZ and GOOMBA Gaming to leave a three point gap above the eliminated teams. Alliance and Team Secret will now compete at the LAN finals at Dreamhack Bucharest beginning on April 24th and concluding on the 26th. They will come up against Cloud 9, London Conspiracy, Team Tinker, Invictus Gaming, Vici Gaming and MY to compete to win the growing top prize of $55,308.

Alliance's first game of the group was potentially their biggest challenge since their progress with their reformed lineup. They came up against Team Secret. Currently ranked as the top team in the world according to GosuRankings, Team Secret were 77% favourites to win the match, but a dominant performance from their Swedish opposition meant Alliance claimed a 2-0 victory to all but guarantee their place in the LAN finals. Alliance just had to avoid losing both of their remaining matches in the group and were able to end the qualifiers unbeaten through both phases. Team Secret were able to win both of their remaining games in the group, but were forced into a third game against Ukrainian team SCARYFACEZZZ.

Teams competing in StarLadder XII:
Europe Cloud 9
