The latest Dota 2 patch saw a number of bugs being fixed, and there were also updates on the tooltips and the matchmaking strings. A number of tournament tickets were also added, including WPC-ACE 2014.
Troll Priest gets a new look in this update.
Aside from the fixes on a number of bugs on the gameserver side, the troll neutral priest was also given a model change. The most noticeable change game-wise would probably be the MMR range limit on ranked matchmaking, on which only a difference of less than 2000 will be allowed. If the range of the MMR of the party members exceed that, they will not be able to queue on ranked game.
On the economy side, there were cosmetics added, all of them being bundled on specific DotaTV tickets. A total of 17 different DotaTV tickets were made available. There were also sets added and removed from the item drop list.
Dota 2 Client Changelog:
- Fixed a bug where players attempting to reconnect would be rejected with "Steam authorization failed", during a Steam service disruption
- Fixed a bug where the gameserver would not properly display notification messages when a player was marked as abandoning by AFK
- Fixed a bug incorrectly giving players abandons if the gameserver was unable to contact the Dota 2 Network at the time the match ended and players left rapidly.
- Players who have not yet picked a hero five minutes after the horn will be treated as abandoning by AFK.
- Fixed various solo matchmaking exploits
- Ranked matchmaking will no longer accept parties with an extremely large MMR spread.
- Several tooltip and ability description adjustments and fixes
- Fixed a few server crashes related to clients sending invalid orders
- Recalibrated the thresholds at which players are put into low-priority after receiving high numbers of reports.
- Spectators can now see when a commentator uses hero showcase modeDisconnection Messages:
- Players being warned for secondary abandon if a party member quits has now been removed.
- If a user disconnects by himself, a message saying "Disconnected by user" shows up.
- If a user gets disconnected from the server, a message saying "Disconnected from server" will show up.
- Connection overflow error now has a warning message.
- Game that does not allow spectators now has a warning message to show that.

- Doppelwalk: Casting Doppelwalk does not interrupt channeling.
- Freezing Field: Now shows attack speed slow for both normal and Aghanim versions.
- Slithereen Crush: Now shows attack speed slow.
- Updated Life Drain Tooltip: While channelling Life Drain, Pugna siphons HP from the target enemy unit. If Pugna has full HP, and the target is a Hero, Life Drain will restore mana instead. Lasts 10 seconds.Upgradable by Aghanim's Scepter.
- Chaos Bolt Tooltip: The stun duration and damage values dealt are inversely related.
- Updated Blinding Light Tooltip: Causes knockback of 250 range over 0.4 seconds, centered on the middle of the target area. Upon landing, units will destroy trees in a 150 radius.
- Tether tooltip now shows Slow duration.
- Updated tooltip for Ghost Walk: Invisible, movement speed changed by <percentage>, and slowing nearby enemies.
- Dagon Tooltip now shows Cast Range.Matchmaking Strings:
- Users are now required to play a certain number of matches before trying their hand at Ranked Matchmaking. If they do not have enough game history, they are asked to play more unranked matches before giving a shot at Ranked.
- A warning message is now added when one more more players from the party does not have enough gameplay history to estimate their skill in ranked matchmaking.
- If party members are too far apart in their match making ranking value, they are no longer allowed to participate in Ranked Matchmaking. (Limit is ~2000)Misc:
