Five new agents in total have been showcased, three of which have been teased since last year.
HoYoverse, the developer behind the popular action RPG Zenless Zone Zero, has unveiled two long-anticipated highlights from the series during The Game Awards 2025.
Ye Shunguang, the new Void Hunter-level agent from Yunkui Summit, has been on players’ radar for quite some time now. First introduced as an NPC in version 2.3 and later appearing in version 2.4, she quickly became notable for her enigmatic role and striking design. Version 2.4 also features a special “quality time” event centred on her, rewarding players with Polychromes for completing missions that revolve around spending time with the soon-to-arrive agent.
New agents take centre stage in Zenless Zone Zero gameplay
At The Game Awards 2025, HoYoverse showcased Ye Shunguang’s full gameplay. As Zenless Zone Zero’s first dual-form agent, she commanded attention with a fluid, sword-focused combat style built around rapid transitions between two distinct stances. Her kit emphasises aerial manoeuvres, precise pressure, and devastating finishing blows, giving her a mechanical identity unlike anything currently on the roster.
The trailer also featured Zhao, the mischievous rabbit Thiren whose deceptively cute appearance contrasts sharply with her heavy-hitting great axe. She moved across the battlefield with characteristic agility, demonstrating her move set for upcoming patches.
The most unexpected moment came at the end of the trailer, which included a teaser for a forthcoming live performance from the long-awaited idol faction known as the Angels of Delusion. Fans have been tracking the faction’s dormant official X, YouTube, and Bilibili accounts since version 1.0, where occasional artwork posts hinted at their eventual debut. The group is understood to have three upcoming agents, one of whom made a cameo in version 2.2 at the Fantasy Resort.
HoYoverse has not shared further details about the Angels of Delusion, but players should be looking forward to Ye Shunguang and her story in Version 2.5.
