OGN Off-Line Qualifications

The OGN Off-Line Qualifications were played early today, March 27th. The twenty groups of gamers all played to try and qualify for the OGN StarLeague, also known as OSL.

There are seven to eight gamers per group and there are a total of twenty groups. These gamers would play an elimination style tournament with all matches being best of three. Luna, Rush Hour, Ride of Valkyries are the three maps that were all played in the qualifications. There is about a total of 144 gamers in all.



Ten gamers got a first round bye in Group A through Group J, DArKeLf[S.sIR], forU, Dream.t)Siva, OverSky, GGPlay[GsP], Kingdom, s.s.m~[SiLvEr], Silent_Control, XellOs[yG], and MuMyung.

In the next set of groups, Group K through Group T, there was not as many first round byes as the first set of ten, but there was a few. SaferZerg, ZergLee, ipxzerg[gm], [Oops]Reach, [ReD]NaDa, and [GsP]JJu all got their first round byes.

Since only a total of ten gamers can advance into the OGN StarLeague, the winners of each group played one another to find out who would go to the StarLeague. The way this is set up is so that the winner of Group A will play the winner of Group B, the winner of Group C will play the winner of Group D, so on and so forth.

So the final ten have been chosen and although there were some upsets this season's OSL looks to be mighty fine!
