Pinnacle Winter Series: K23 wins first Pinnacle event of 2022

They won against Apeks with a score of 2-1.

K23 has emerged as the winner of the Pinnacle Winter Series, where they went against Apeks and won handily 2-1. The CIS team overcame the Norwegian team without too much trouble as they walk away with the trophy and $44,000 in prize money.

The team started off on Ancient, where they did not break too much of a swat as they dominated the first half of the map over Apeks. The Scandanavians tried to catch up but by round 26, it was all over as K23 picked up the first point of the match.

On Nuke, it was Apeks’ turn to shine as they overshadowed K23 in the first half. K23 valiantly tried to catch up in the second half as the counter terrorists, but in round 28, Apeks picked up their first point of the match.

The last map, Overpass, saw both teams trying their best to gain the advantage, which eventually went to the K23’s side after the end of the first half. While Apeks grinded hard in the second half, unfortunately the points difference was too big that K23 grabbed the second point and the win by round 27.

The lads from CIS walked away with the championship and the cheque for $44,000 as winners of the Pinnacle Winter Series #1. The victory also secured them a spot in the LAN Sweet LAN event that is coming up soon.
