Shortly after their invite to IEM Oakland, Virtus.Pro were announced as the fourth invite to the second big tournament this fall in the United States.
ESL One New York will take place at the Barclay’s Center in New York City, New York on the weekend of October 1-2 and will feature eight teams, four of which have yet to be announced. Additionally, IEM Oakland will use the Swiss format, described in more detail here.
The Virtus.Pro players are enjoying their short time off, but will have to begin preparing for a series of huge LAN tournaments that could see them potentially clinch the #1 rank in the world, given recent performances. We will see the Poles at one more big LAN event before ESL One New York - at StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 in Nanjing, China. In the mean time, we will enjoy some friendly banter from other professional players:
