Liquid recruit s1mple

Team Liquid have just announced that they have secured the services of the young Ukranian player, Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev.

In the recent times we saw Team Liquid being on the hunt for the new AWP player, where the first choice was a Finnish player, ex-member of Ninjas in Pyjamas, Aleksi "allu" Jalli. However, since they were unable to close a deal with Aleksi, the North American team have changed their focus to another European free agent.

Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev who was part of HellRaisers, FlipSid3 Tactics and many other CIS mix teams, was a free agent for a long period now. Rumours about him joining Liquid have been circulating during the Christmas holidays and it was only a matter of days until it was finally officially confirmed.

The Ukranian player had the following to say about his step into the North American scene:

This is an incredibly big step for me, for both my career and life experience. I will be moving to a new country where I don't know anyone, leaving behind my parents, friends and girlfriend in order to pursue a dream I know I can achieve. The pressure to succeed is great, but I know that I can handle it. It means a lot to me to finally join Liquid, and their belief in me was a big part of my decision. I will do everything I can in order to achieve good results. Thank you to all my fans that have continued to support me, and I promise that I will show my full potential.”
