Gamers2 recruit Loord as a coach

The long-time Counter-Strike player and a member of the Golden Five, Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski has joined Gamers2 as their coach.

Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski, one of the most accomplished Counter-Strike players in the history, has been assessing his esports options after he decided to retire earlier this year. He decided against continuing his professional career after an unsuccessful spel with the INSHOCK team.

He will now join up with Gamers2. He is already familiar with a lot of the players as Loord himself, Pawe? "innocent" Mocek, Micha? "MICHU" Müller and Jacek "minise" Jeziak have played together under Dobry&Gaming name as well as for the ESC Gaming organisation.

Loord has now joined the Gamers2 team as a coach, the organisation has revealed today. Loord will now be replacing the current Gamers2 coach Sebastian "dArk" Babinski who has been coaching the team for a while now. The first test for Gamers2 will come in shape of ESL One Cologne qualifiers in late July. The team is also set to bootcamp a week before the event in Buddaplay, Warsaw.

Loord had following to say on this case:

After stepping down from activity, I was looking at other options to stay involved in the community. I have been talking to the Gamers2 guys about coaching them for a long time, but since I was still playing that was not possible. This is going to be something new for me, a new chapter in my career. I will do my best to improve their tactical game. They are very talented players with a lot of potential, but they lack experience, and that is something that I will try to bring into the fold. I hope we will have a great time working together! I’d also like to thank Gamers2’s organization for this opportunity.
