Winning his second back-to-back Intel Extreme Masters, Hero takes home the pride of a champion and a hefty sum of cash in the grand finals against MC.

In Game 1, Hero established his dominance and took an easy win with aggressive play, setting up the series for what appeared to be a stomp.  In the second game of the set, MC appeared to come back with a vengeance, but was a little bit too greedy in his approach to end the game fast.  This established an advantage in Hero's arsenal after he picked off a couple of mispositioned stalkers with his zealots, forcing MC to GG out.

Game 3 showed MC having another initial lead with more dragoons, but he wasn't able to push his advantageous position into closing out the game. Not ready to give Hero a perfect series, MC fought hard in what was essentially a mirror of game 2, but this time, MC was able to clean up his play and turn his aggression into a decisive victory.

In the final game of the set, Hero would prove that his momentum was not faltered and the loss did not throw him off.  With proper, calculated play, Hero's built up advantages would allow him to deny a crucial expansion from MC, crippling him for the rest of the game.  After the aforementioned, MC crumbled, and Hero made history by becoming the first Intel Extreme Masters Starcraft 2 champion to have two consecutive tournament wins, while also showing his unstoppable merit in mirror matches.
