Mvp replaces Duckdeok in WCS Europe Premier League

The vacant spot in 2014 EU Premier League left by Duckdeok's retirement will go to WCS EU Season 1 champion Mvp, announced ESL. The renowned champion is seeded into Premier as he's collected most points out of all WCS Europe players.

Duckdeok retired from the competitive scene in December last year, a move that raised a few eyebrows as MVP's Protoss had had a successful 2013, including a WCS Europe championship, fifth place at WCS Europe Season 3 and top eight finish at BlizzCon. This left one empty spot in Europe's Premier League and today ESL announced that it will be none other than Mvp stepping in.

Having acquired 2100 points from WCS Europe events last year, Mvp was selected as the best performing WCS Europe player that is not already in Premier League. Mvp's move up to Premier in turn frees a spot down in Challenger League which - along with the void left by Lucifron going inactive - will be filled by the 7th/8th place finishers in the Ladder Wildcard qualifier played last night, Revolver and Strintern.

WCS Europe Challenger League will being on January 21st, followed by the Premier League matches in February.
