The third and last of the qualifiers for WCS Europe Challenger League was played last night and the Europeans dominated once again. Hope, Snute, Abomb, DieStar, stakimaN and Verdi are the six players to advance further.
The ladder wildcard qualifier provided a few notable upsets. Bracket B saw Irish Protoss ABomB and Bulgarian Zerg stakimaN rule over a tough pool of players like Ret, Fraer and MaNa, all of which failed to make it into WCS Europe Challenger as a result. Bracket D, on the other hand, had harbored high-profile Korean names like MVP's Tails and IM's First who failed to beat the first round and went out 1-2 to Socke and DieStar respectively.
The ladder wildcard qualifier was also the last preliminary tournament and Challenger League is redy to begin on January 21st. It will be followed by the Premier League matches to start mid February.
