According to his Twitter feed, Ryan "State" Visbeck will be competing in GSL next year. The American is currently training in the fOu house.

The ROOT Protoss mostly known for his second place in Shoutcraft America will be making a bold move and compete in GSL for the next season of WCS. Should he beat the preliminaries, Visbeck will likely be the only foreigner in the GSL line-up.

State's name first appeared on the professional scene in 2012 when the American Protoss transferred to Quantic alongside all of his team-mates from Team Vile. At the time, Quantic were among the fastest growing American teams, housing players like SaSe, Naniwa and Apocalypse. The team had also partnered with StarTale for 2012 GSTL season one, forming the StarTaleQ joint roster.

State was left teamless after the disbandment of Quantic in December 2012 and spent eight months without a professional home. It was only in August 2013 that Visbeck was picked up by ROOT Gaming.

Unanimously considered to be the strongest regions of the three, the GSL will certainly be a tall order for the American. State will have to beat the Code B preliminaries and climb his way through Code A before making it to the big stage, and those tournaments have been getting tougher by the year.
