Sasha "Scarlett" Hostyn will be the sole player representing the foreign scene in the IEM Singapore playoffs. The Canadian came out as second in Group C and will play Hydra in the quarter finals.

Scarlett started her IEM Singapore run with a 1-2 loss to Bomber but had a quick recovery. The Canadian Zerg scored a 2-1 against Dream in the losers match to keep herself in the tournament and got her revenge on the StarTale Terran in the decider after Bomber failed to go past hero[join] in the winners series.
Group D followed and all eyes were turned towards fan favorite Grubby. An IEM Singapore runner-up from last year, Grubby was placed in a group with three Koreans, a tough situation that took his tournament life after two series (0-2 to Hack and 1-2 to Squirtle). Fellow Protoss Squirtle joined Grubby after a loss in the decider, shaping a Hydra/Hack top two in Group D.
