The first day of HomeStory Cup 8 is over and Koreans ruled the four groups played. Heromarine, Socke, Scarlett and Titan advance as the foreign quartet.
All four Koreans cruised effortlessly to the next round. MC, Jjakji and the Liquid duo of Taeja and HerO dropped just two games between all of them and will await the Ro16 seedings.
Left in the position of runner-ups, the foreigners had to eliminate each other to follow the Koreans into the next round. In Group A, Heromarine prevailed in an upset over TLO and Dimaga; Group B saw the return of Socke who ousted Mana and the fifth Korean for the day Zenio; Group C expectedly promoted Scarlett after a 4-0 against NightEnd; and Group D saw Titan trample over Targa and Kas for the second place.
The second playday of HSC 8 resumes today at 15:30 CET. First group to be played features Stardust, Nerchio, Dayshi and Ret, followed by Group F with ToD, Stephano, InControl and Leenock.
