Coming in a little over two weeks time, the World Cyber Games '13 will feature 30 players competing through a group stage and a single elimination bracket for $30,000 first place prize.
Learning from past years, WCG has taken a step in what's arguably the right direction and have deiced to tune in their format. All group stage matches will be a Bo3 instead of Bo1 like in previous editions while all playoff series will be Bo5. Top two of each group will advance to the next stage.
The line-up is almost compete with four more players bound to join the competition, namely USA's two representatives as well as the winners of the Iran and Malaysia qualifiers. A noticeable change is also the forfeiture of Innovation who has vacated his spot due to scheduling conflicts with DreamHack Winter. Woonjin's Soulkey will take his spot in Group D.
